Some questions do not fit neatly into one category. For example, an article may cover both pricing and implementation, or both search strategy and sales process. In an Information Center, you still need a primary home for each article while keeping cross links clear.
Choose a primary category for structure
- Decide which topic the article supports most directly.
- Assign that as the main category for navigation.
- Resist the urge to tag the article as primary in many places.
A clear primary home keeps the structure understandable for visitors and for search engines.
Use internal links to reflect secondary themes
- Link from related articles in other categories into this piece.
- Include short sections that point to deeper coverage in other hubs.
- Maintain a small set of cross topic summary pages if needed.
This way, multi theme content is still discoverable from several angles, without breaking the simple rule that each article has one main place where it lives in the Information Center.
