What it means when only a few pages appear in Search Console reports and how to expand that set.

Information Center article

How do I get more of my pages to show up in Search Console

Part of the On Web Marketing™ Information Center.

Shows how limited page coverage in Search Console points to a need for more and better supporting content.

If you open Google Search Console and only see a handful of pages getting impressions, it usually means that search engines have not found many strong matches on your site. The rest of your pages may be indexed, but they are not being chosen often for real searches.

Why only a few pages show activity

  • Most of your content is very similar or overlaps heavily.
  • Important topics are only mentioned briefly on one page.
  • There are no pages that focus on specific questions or scenarios.

Search engines favor pages that clearly line up with a searcher intent. If content is broad or vague, it is harder to match.

Expanding the set of active pages

The goal is to give Search Console more to work with:

  • Create dedicated pages for core services and situations.
  • Add articles that answer detailed questions you hear from clients.
  • Link these pages together so they form clear clusters of content.

An Information Center is a structured way to do exactly that. As you publish more focused articles, you should see more pages show up in Search Console reports.
